Indian Canyons
The Indian Canyons are a true desert surprise. Tucked into the mountains south of Palm Springs, these canyons hold streams and huge groves of California fan palms. Palm Canyon is one of the largest palm oases in the world.
The land belongs to the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, who have lived here for thousands of years. Please treat it with care.

- Andreas Canyon: an easy 1 mile loop along a stream under tall palms. Great for all ages.
- Palm Canyon: walk down into the oasis and go as far as you like
- Ranger led hikes: offered Friday through Sunday in season. A great way to learn the history.
