BNP Paribas Open Tennis
Every March the best tennis players in the world come to the desert. The BNP Paribas Open, often called the fifth Grand Slam, takes over the Indian Wells Tennis Garden for two weeks. It’s one of our favorite events of the year.

Why fans love it
- Up close: early round grounds passes let you watch top players on the outer courts from just a few rows back
- Practice courts: catch the stars warming up for free with a grounds pass
- Food and drinks: the grounds have great restaurants and bars
- The setting: palm trees and snow capped mountains behind center court
Good to know
- Drive from our stays: about 15 minutes
- Arrive early on weekends. Parking lots fill up.
- Bring layers. Days are warm and nights get chilly.
- Book lodging early. March is peak season in the desert.
