Modernism Week is the biggest design party in the desert, and the February festival is the main event. Modernism Week 2027 runs February 11 to 21 in Palm Springs. Eleven days of home tours, talks, films, bus tours and parties, all celebrating the midcentury homes the valley is famous for.
When tickets go on sale
Tickets go on sale November 1, 2026 at noon Pacific on the Modernism Week website. The most popular home tours sell out fast, sometimes the same day. Make a short list of your must sees before the sale opens, and have your account set up ahead of time.
How to plan your days
- Pick one or two big tours a day. Driving between neighborhoods takes longer than you think, and lines can be long.
- Mix in free stuff. Drive the neighborhoods on your own, like Twin Palms and Vista Las Palmas, to see the classic rooflines from the street.
- Book dinner early. Palm Springs restaurants fill up fast during the festival.
- Bring layers. February days are sunny and warm, but nights can drop into the 40s.
Can’t make February?
There’s a smaller, four day Modernism Week every October. Read our fall Modernism Week guide for what that one is like.
Make it a self guided weekend
No tickets? No problem. Our self guided midcentury drive covers the famous homes and buildings you can see from the street, any time of year.
Stay in the real thing
Palm Springs prices jump during Modernism Week. Palm Desert is about 30 minutes away and a lot calmer. Our house is an original midcentury modern home, so coming back after a day of tours feels like one more stop on the tour, just with a private saltwater pool.
- The House: an original midcentury home with a private saltwater pool and jacuzzi. Sleeps 4.
- The Pink Condo: poolside with two queen beds. Sleeps 4.
- The Yellow Condo: a midcentury style king suite with a balcony. Sleeps 2.
- The Blue Condo: a midcentury king suite near El Paseo. Sleeps 2.
All of our homes are dog friendly, and booking direct means no Airbnb service fees. See all our Modernism Week stays.
