Dog Friendly Palm Desert
We love dogs, so every Palm Trees and Floaties stay welcomes one dog. Here’s where to take yours while you’re in town.
Dog parks
- Civic Center Dog Park: fenced and freshly renovated, inside Civic Center Park. The park itself has shady lawns, ponds and walking paths, so it’s a nice stroll for you too.
- University Dog Park: another fenced option in north Palm Desert.
Walks and patios
- El Paseo: leashed dogs are welcome on the sidewalks, and you’ll often spot water bowls outside the shops.
- Patios: lots of local restaurants welcome leashed dogs on their outdoor patios. Just ask when you arrive.
Keep paws safe in the heat
- Test the pavement with your hand. If it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for paws.
- Walk early and late from May through September
- Bring water everywhere you go
- Hiking: dogs aren’t allowed on many local mountain trails or in the Indian Canyons, so check before you go
House rules: we accept one dog per stay, with a $75 pet fee per reservation. Let us know when you book.
Stay with your pup: all four of our homes are dog friendly. See our dog friendly vacation rentals in Palm Desert, and book direct to skip the Airbnb fees.
